Compatibility & parts

Appliance Typical Requirements Notes
Gas Cooktops Manufacturer jet kit, regulator suitability, pressure set Some brands require model-specific jets; data plate must list both gases.
BBQs / Outdoor Kitchens Jets/regulator, hose/quick-connect, bayonet point Outdoor use only; clearances/ventilation must be maintained.
Gas Heaters (portable/flued) Jet kit or valve calibration, combustion/CO check Only where manufacturer provides kit/approval; safety checks are mandatory.
Hot Water Heaters Regulator/valve calibration, jet kit (if applicable) Not all units are convertible—continuous-flow often are; storage varies by model.

We only use parts approved for your specific model. If a unit isn’t convertible, we’ll advise the best replacement options.

FAQs – Gas Conversions

Can every appliance be converted between LPG and Natural Gas? Not always. The data plate must specify the alternate gas or the manufacturer must supply a conversion kit.

Do I need a new regulator? Often yes—LPG and NG use different operating pressures. We check and replace if needed.

Will conversion void my warranty? When performed to the manufacturer’s instructions with approved parts by a licensed gas fitter, warranty remains valid.

Is a compliance certificate required? For eligible works we issue the appropriate documentation and test reports.

How long does it take? Cooktops/BBQs are typically 45–90 minutes; heaters/hot water can take longer depending on model and access.
